Purpose of i-Shades Smoke Curtains
The
installation of Smoke Curtains will prevent
smoke from rapidly spreading to human-occupied areas.
|
Incorporating i-Shades Smoke Curtains into Building Design
The normal maximum width for a single roller is 5.5 meters.
For greater distances, 2 or more rollers can be overlapped to the required length.
The overlapping material between rollers, as recommended by British standards,
provides continuity of cover.
|
Installation of i-Shades
Smoke Curtains A galvanized (GI) steel box
is used as a carrier for the Smoke Curtain unit.
The curtain is mounted and self contained
within the GI box, which is then mounted
onto the building structure.
The box will be supported with
threaded rods and unistrut bars.
This highly recommended method
allows for adjustments to be made
during installation,
making it flexible to mount.
